Extraprovincial Attorney Update
Overview
|
Filing an Appointment of Attorney, Change of Attorney Address or Revocation of Attorney The following overview provides the information you need to appoint a new attorney, change the address of an attorney or revoke an existing attorney. For business or legal advice, you should go to a small business consultant or a lawyer. Click on a particular topic of interest below, or read the whole guide using the scroll bar. Background This transaction will allow you to add an attorney, edit the address or email address of an attorney or remove an attorney. For all BC extraprovincial company types, an attorney is an individual who is resident in British Columbia or an incorporated company. A company must have at least one attorney unless its head office is in British Columbia. In that case attorneys are not mandatory. For an individual the mailing and delivery addresses must be where the individual can usually be reached during statutory business hours. For an attorney that is a company the mailing and delivery addresses must be the company's registered mailing and delivery addresses.
